On-Demand Webinar Explores New Methods And Tools To Elevate Graduate Recruitment
The “map” for graduate recruitment is changing. Even before the COVID-19 pandemic, international applications were declining in many fields, and travel restrictions to the United States signal this trend will continue into the foreseeable future. How colleges and universities find their bearings and reorient to this new landscape will determine the health of graduate education in the years to come.
How will you fill your recruitment funnel?
This fall, Liaison is sponsoring a series of webinars, events and publications to help graduate programs identify the tools and strategies necessary to overcome today’s recruitment challenges. The “Filling the Funnel” series highlights how admissions teams at all levels of higher education can adapt and evolve quickly in order to reach and admit best-fit students.
The series kicked off with Remapping Graduate Recruitment for 2021: Strategies to Identify and Engage New Applicant Pools, presented in partnership with the Council of Graduate Schools (CGS). Speakers included Vincent James, Director of Admissions at Harvard’s T.H. Chan School of Public Health; Julie Masterson, Associate Provost and Dean of the Graduate School at Missouri State University; and Suzanne Sharp, Executive Director of Enrollment Management Consulting for Liaison. Judy Chappelear, Director of Association Partnerships at Liaison, moderated the discussion, focusing on changes in higher education recruitment and the importance of targeting a more diverse applicant pool as institutions adjust their strategies.
