Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) Partners with Liaison to Offer SocialWorkCAS to Support Graduate Admissions in Social Work Programs

Mar 14, 2016

Technology and processing services streamline the application process for accredited master’s degree social work programs in the United States

Watertown, Mass. (March 14, 2016) – Liaison, the leader in admissions management and enrollment marketing solutions for higher education, today announced that it will power a centralized application service (CAS™) for the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE). The solution, SocialWorkCAS, will allow CSWE to help its member institutions deliver an exceptional applicant experience and improve their admissions data and workflows.

CSWE’s centralized application service will serve as a comprehensive source of program information and access, helping applicants identify and apply to Master’s in Social Work (MSW) programs to which they are well-matched. It will also simplify the process of applying to multiple MSW programs by using a single electronic portfolio to consolidate and send transcripts and other required applicant materials to each of the programs designated by an applicant.

“SocialWorkCAS will deliver great value to social work students, programs, and the profession,” said Darla Spence-Coffey, President and CEO of CSWE.  Streamlining the application process for students; assisting programs in recruitment, enrollment management and planning; and creating a national database to assist with workforce projections and planning are just some of the benefits that we expect out of this solution.”

Powered by Liaison, the SocialWorkCAS is a comprehensive admissions management solution that combines application software, integrated verification services and analytical capabilities. The solution will provide:

  • Access to comprehensive data. CSWE will have access to accurate historical and real-time applicant data and forecasting tools to develop workforce trends and projections, tailor recruitment strategies to reach under-represented populations, and inform policy decisions.
  • Unparalleled admissions management software and reporting capabilities. Schools will receive, at no cost, a robust admissions solution through which they can analyze their applicant pool, forecast against admission goals and benchmark versus other schools to facilitate better admissions decisions and improve enrollment processes.
  • A wider, more diverse pool of students. By participating in SocialWorkCAS, schools will improve reach and awareness of their programs to drive applications from a larger and more diverse pool of students, helping them meet and exceed recruitment goals.
  • An exceptional applicant experience. Students can research and apply to multiple CSWE member MSW programs using a single electronic application with an easy, intuitive interface that helps them navigate and simplify the application process.

“CSWE has taken the next step in supporting their member institutions to improve their overall admissions processes,” said George Haddad, CEO and Founder of Liaison. “We are very excited to partner with CSWE given the importance of social work programs and the impact they have on the well-being of our society. SocialWorkCAS will be instrumental in allowing admissions staff to focus their attention on recruiting the best-fit students and creating exceptional experiences for applicants across the full enrollment cycle – from first interest to their first day on campus.”

CSWE, whose membership processes over 58,000 applications annually, will join more than 30 other professional associations in using Liaison’s Centralized Application Service (CAS™). To learn how Liaison improves enrollment management for associations, admissions offices and applicants, please visit www.liaison-intl.com/solutions/admissions/cas/.
