Designing a Campus-Wide Strategy for Data-Informed Student Success: A Panel Discussion

November 16, 2022

The success of your institution is defined by the success of your students. Each student’s journey is different and providing tailored individual support is essential. How can you know what strategies are right for your institution and how do you measure the effectiveness of your efforts?

Designing, implementing, and measuring a comprehensive student success plan can be a challenge. It requires good data tracking, strong cross-functional communications, thoughtful assessment plans, and continuous follow-up.

Not all schools do it the same way, but all schools should ask themselves:

  • What is our campus-wide strategy for collecting data that will help identify at-risk students?
  • What interventions are most influential in retaining students? What’s working? What’s not?
  • What communications networks do you have alerting stakeholders about possible at-risk students?
  • How does our current data practice support the achievement of student outcomes? What are some areas of opportunity?

Watch the recorded panel discussion that highlights best practices and offers practical, actionable advice from two universities currently navigating the complexities of student success and retention.
