You will find some of the recent and upcoming changes to the CAS™ listed below:

New User Experience for Entering Colleges Attended

After many months of market research understanding the application experience of previous applicants, we have revamped the Colleges Attended section of the application. Applicants will see a new interface when they complete that section. This updated application section is now available for applicants using PostBacCAS™.

Based on the feedback we received, we’ve created a process that is much more intuitive, providing applicants clear, step-by-step guidance on what they are expected to do.

Guest Access on Letters by Liaison™

Recommenders can now submit their evaluations as a guest, without creating a Letters by Liaison™ account. Guest users can create an account at any time while working in Letters by Liaison™, and recommenders who already have an account can also complete a recommendation as a guest.

Please Note: This feature is not yet turned on for the 2019-2020 cycle but will become available when the 2020-2021 application cycle launches on August 13, 2020.

Entering Decision Codes in WebAdMIT™

PostBacCAS™ is in the process of creating an end of cycle report for all members. The report will include, but is not limited to, overall statistics for Career Changers and Academic Enhancers as it relates to demographic information (as it relates to age, race and ethnicity and gender), geographic location, and study areas and overall GPA. The first annual report, which is due in the upcoming months, will focus on the 2018-2019 application cycle and will only report on submitted application data.

The 2019-2020 annual report will also include matriculated applicant data. In order to make this possible, all PostBacCAS™ members are requested to enter Decision Codes for Admitted and Enrolled students. Please note, this is optional for the 2019-2020 application cycle, although we highly encourage all PostBacCAS™ users to do so. Reporting final Decision Codes become a requirement for PostBacCAS™ users from the 2020-2021 application cycle onwards.

PostBacCAS™ Application Cycle Deadlines & 2020-21 Configuration Portal

The 2019-2020 PostBacCAS™ application cycle is due to close on Friday, July 31, 2020. We know that these dates will be upon us in no time.

The Configuration Portal for the 2020-21 application cycle is due to open on Tuesday, June 2, 2020. This means that all your approved designations from the 2019-2020 application cycle would have been copied over to the prelaunch environment for the 2020-21 cycle and would be in “Draft” to begin making any changes you would like to for the forthcoming cycle. Please note that the 2020-2021 application will go-live and become available for students to apply on Thursday, August 13, 2020.
