Learners can tailor Community Views for different audiences, explore career and salary information, and reuse supported information across Liaison application workflows.
An application or transcript captures part of a learner’s story. Living Profile brings education, work, and other experiences together in one profile that learners can update over time.
Learners can add academic history and test scores, employment and volunteering, achievements and projects, self-reported skills and competencies, and academic and career goals. Documents and multimedia can add context to those entries, showing the scope of coursework or projects and the work behind an achievement.
For organizations exploring Comprehensive Learner Record (CLR) or Learning and Employment Record (LER) initiatives, Living Profile brings learner-entered education, experiences, self-reported skills and competencies, and supporting materials into an ongoing profile.
Community Views let learners create different views of their profile and privately share selected information with admissions teams, advisors, associations, scholarship organizations, or employers.
For example, a learner can highlight projects and work experience for an employer, academic achievements and volunteering for an admissions team, or clinical volunteer hours and coursework for a health-professions program. Learners choose the information to include in each view.
Living Profile connects career information with learners’ goals, program interests, and areas of study.
Living Profile connects with Liaison’s Centralized Application Services (CAS) so supported information can be reused between a user’s profile and an application.

When a connection to Liaison’s Outcomes CRM is configured, organizations can use information shared through Living Profile to group learners for relevant email or SMS campaigns. For example, they could follow up with learners interested in a particular career or invite those who started a profile to complete it.

Learners create Community Views and choose which views to share with different audiences. This allows them to present different parts of their experience to admissions teams, advisors, or employers.
Supported workflows allow information from a CAS application to create or update a Living Profile, and allow Living Profile information to fill in parts of a CAS application. Available fields and workflows depend on the supported application.
Living Profile includes nationwide career and salary information from O*NET and the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, an embedded interest assessment, and the ability to save programs of interest. It also connects areas of study with associated occupations, helping learners consider where their education could lead. An optional Lightcast integration adds more detailed labor-market information when configured.
Living Profile supports an ongoing record of education, experience, and self-reported skills and competencies. Yes. Living Profile offers a digital wallet for portable credentials. Learners can also add achievements and supporting documents to their profiles, but adding an item does not automatically verify it. For credentials using a supported standard, Liaison can support a workflow to check them with the issuing organization.
