Watertown Mass, (February 10, 2014) – Liaison International today announced that Thomas Jefferson University (TJU) has launched Liaison’s new UniCAS™ admissions management solution, consisting of software, integrated services, and data analytics tools.
UniCAS builds on Liaison’s 18-year history of providing centralized application services (CAS) to graduate admissions programs via professional associations, and delivers the same results currently valued by over 4,000 schools and programs. TJU is the first university to implement the solution in its newly available direct-to-university format.
Michael Behringer, Liaison’s CEO and President, said, “The UniCAS concept is not new for us; Liaison first began providing a centralized graduate admissions solution to the University at Buffalo (UB) in 1996. But offering UniCAS to schools with similar requirements to UB – flexible application design at the program level, CRM tools that support communications with applicants, and centralized reporting capability across all graduate programs – is a thrill for us. UniCAS addresses a long-term gap in university admissions; its dynamic configuration allows universities and admissions officers to both establish centralized admissions standards while maintaining the unique requirements of individual programs.”
TJU has been a loyal Liaison client for seven years, and Liaison’s solutions currently power eight of its graduate school admissions programs. Still, Karen Jacobs Astle, Assistant Vice President, Admissions at TJU, conducted a thorough search for an admissions management solution. Ms. Astle said, “In the end, what counts is that we make excellent admissions decisions, and UniCAS is unique in its ability to enable us to do that. UniCAS turns ‘big data’ into actionable information, enabling us to effectively plan and allocate resources in real-time. Further, Liaison’s integrated services – opening and scanning applicant mail, verifying grade and transcript information and providing customer support – free up my team’s resources to focus on recruiting and admitting the right applicants.”
