Liaison Receives Award from the University at Buffalo
Watertown Mass, (March 13, 2014) – Liaison International, a leading provider of admissions management solutions for the higher education market, today noted that it has received an award from the University at Buffalo for its pioneering work on admissions management technology for graduate schools and programs. The award was made at the UB STOR Annual Inventors and Entrepreneurs Reception on March 3, 2014.
The Liaison-UB collaboration began in 2001 as a joint venture between Liaison and UB that served the needs of UB’s admissions office. The initiative was also a pioneer in the academic business incubator movement, which is now an important public policy initiative in New York and other states.
The technology developed in the joint venture is now a key component of software solutions for Liaison’s clients, which include more than 4,000 colleges and academic programs. Several UB graduate schools, including the School of Dental Medicine and the School of Public Health and Health Professions, use Liaison’s Centralized Application Services (CAS) admissions management solution while the Office of Graduate Enrollment Management Services manages the admissions process for the remaining graduate schools by using Liaison’s GrAdMIT product. The combined tools enable UB to establish common admissions data standards across its graduate schools and programs, while maintaining the individual programs’ autonomy and workflow.
Christopher Connor, Assistant Dean for Graduate Enrollment Management Services, describes the GrAdMIT solution as “unique,” adding “GrAdMIT allows UB to view, analyze, and benchmark admissions and enrollment information from multiple schools and programs across campus in a single location.”
The technology behind GrAdMIT is now available to all universities in Liaison’s recently introduced direct-to-university format admissions management solution, UniCASTM.
