Samford University Implements UniCAS Admissions Management Solution
Watertown Mass, (May 1, 2014) – Liaison International today announced that Samford University has implemented Liaison’s new UniCAS™ admissions management solution, which allows universities and graduate enrollment management offices to establish common admissions standards and data across their entire campus while enabling schools and programs to retain their individual branding, applicant questions, and unique process workflow. UniCAS combines secure SaaS software with integrated services and data analytics to enable deep insight into applicant data.
UniCAS builds on Liaison’s nearly 20-year history of providing centralized application services (CAS™) to graduate admissions programs via professional associations. Samford University has been a Liaison client for more than 10 years and currently participates in three national CASs: NursingCAS (Nursing Programs), PharmCAS (Pharmacy Colleges), and PhORCAS (Pharmacy Residency Programs). Samford will leverage Liaison’s UniCAS solution to provide comprehensive admissions management solutions for its graduate programs in the College of Health Sciences that do not have access to a national CAS. Programs in the School of Public Health and School of Health Professions will be the first to leverage UniCAS on the Samford University campus.
Dr. Marian Carter, Assistant Dean of Enrollment Management and Student Services, College of Health Sciences, said, “We value Liaison and their ability to make our admissions and enrollment processes more effective. With Liaison’s CAS and UniCAS solutions, we have important data readily available to keep all stakeholders informed about our applicants, where they are in the process, and how many are likely to enroll.”
Michael Behringer, Liaison’s CEO and President, said, “We are delighted to be able to broaden our service offerings to Samford through UniCAS. Samford has been an innovative partner and client, and we look forward to helping their admissions team manage its needs as the institution continues to grow and prosper.”
Founded in 1841, Samford is the 87th oldest university in the U.S. and the largest privately supported institution for higher learning in Alabama.
