2020-2021 Cycle Rollover

Launching programs in the 2020-2021 cycle

The 2020-2021 application is now live! Almost all institutions participating in the CASs are open and accepting applications. If you have not done so already, you can turn on your applications for the 2020-2021 cycle. Over the last several months, we have increased our marketing campaigns aimed at driving prospective students to the CASs. Given these extra marketing initiatives, delaying your application launch could result in a missed opportunity. Prospective students currently exploring open programs in BusinessCAS, EngineeringCAS, and GradCAS will be unable to see your institution and programs.

If you need guidance on the rollover program, you can explore the CAS program guides here.

Revised Gender Question

We reviewed your feedback and made changes to the CAS gender question. The updated question is more explicit and transparent. Previously, the question asked, “What is your gender?” The question now reads:

Gender Question - Male, Female, Decline to State

Note, this change applies to the 2020-2021 BusinessCAS, EngineeringCAS, and GradCAS application cycle only. The response options have not changed, so it will not affect any exports you have already set up.

Partnership with Kira Talent

We have partnered with Kira Talent to integrate on-demand, timed video, and timed-written assessments to the CAS application. Due to officially launch by the end of the year, the integration with Kira Talent was a strategic decision to augment the CAS technology to help you meet your admissions and enrollment challenges exacerbated by the 2020 pandemic.

As travel restrictions curtail your recruitment efforts and you evolve your admissions and enrollment practices to meet social distancing guidelines, the ability to pair timed video and written assessments with CAS will make the application experience easier and more streamlined for both you and your applicants.

Beyond the applicant experience, as you restructure your workflows so more staff can work from home, often at odd hours to accommodate childcare, the ability to review applications collaboratively and remotely has never been more urgent. This integration will make these processes more efficient so that you can continue to meet enrollment goals without sacrificing the quality of your admissions review process.

You can request a Kira Talent demo by visiting their website here. Please notify your Account Manager if you are considering using Kira Talent and would like to take advantage of the integration with the CAS application.

TargetX Acquisition

We have acquired TargetX, a CRM solution for full student lifecycle management, to provide you with opportunities to reach potential applicants earlier and engage students, not only after they enter the classroom, but when they are about to enter the workforce and beyond.

The acquisition, which took place in early October, focused on combining TargetX’s recruitment and retention software built on the Salesforce platform, with our current software, to complete the full lifecycle solution. Together, we will now serve nearly 1,500 colleges and universities.

We are still early in joining forces to provide you with a more powerful enrolment management solution. Rest assured that any changes to our products that emerge from the acquisition will be communicated to you by your Account Manager or Client Success Manager.
