That’s the percentage of classes at “elite” colleges that are filled by early applicants. The Justice Department is now investigating possible antitrust violations at these schools related to the sharing of information between them. The schools in question include Amherst College, Middlebury College and Wellesley College.

That’s the acceptance rate at Stanford this year. In fact, every member of the Ivy League (except Yale) set record-low rates for admission to the Class of 2022. College consultants blame the low numbers on the schools’ focus on recruiting a broader pool of applicants and that students are applying to more schools.
